Cyemayire Kimpaye Marius Wycliff

KIMPAYE Marius Wyclif, born in 2012 in Musanze District, began life under theweight of hardship. Born to a teenage mother and without knowing his father, Marius was raisedby his grandmother in deep poverty, where love was present but resources were painfully scarce. His childhood was marked by uncertainty, emotional absence, and daily struggles that no child should endure. Despite these challenges, hope found Marius through Art for Change Rwanda. In this safe and nurturing space, he discovered more than education—he found belonging, dignity, and a voice. Through drawing and painting, Marius learned to express emotions he had carried silently for years, and his confidence began to bloom. Now a Senior Two student, Marius is a joyful, focused, and talented young artist who dreams of becoming a world-famous painter inspired by Leonardo da Vinci. With access to education, materials, and mentorship, he is no longer defined by his past but driven by his dreams. His grandmother watches with pride as he transforms from a vulnerable child into a hopeful young boy whose creativity shines with promise.
