Niyonzima Janvier

While each child has their own story, donations are pooled and shared evenly to support the entire class.

My name is Niyonzima Janvier, and I am 24 years old. I was born in Nyamasheke. I grew up in a family that faced constant conflict. Most of these problems came from my father’s side of the family, especially my grandmother, who did not accept my mother. This painful situation eventually led to the separation of my parents. After my father left, my mother was left to raise six children alone. Life became very difficult because she had no stable job, yet she never gave up. She made many sacrifices to ensure that we had food, shelter, and the chance to go to school. Her strength and love are the reason I am still standing today. My dream is to get a chance to join Sangira and study in the hospitality field. I believe this opportunity will help me gain skills, find a good job, and support my mother through life. More than anything, I want ton change her life the same way she changed mine through her sacrifices
