NSHIMIYIMANA Reponse

Reponse was born in 2013 in Musanze District, Rwanda, and grew up facing challenges that would have weighed heavily on any child. After the passing of his father, lifebecame especially difficult. Reponse was raised by his single mother, Maniriho Godirive, who struggled to provide even the most basic necessities for the family. Poverty made every day a test of resilience, and the absence of his father left Reponse longing for guidance, support, and a sense of security. For many years, Reponse’s education was disrupted. Without adequate school materials, fees, or support at home, he often felt that learning was beyond his reach. The weight of family hardship could have easily discouraged him, yet within Reponse burned a quiet determination—a spark of hope that refused to be extinguished despite the hardships he faced. Everything began to change when Reponse joined Art for Change Rwanda. Here, he discovered not only an organization but a safe haven—a place where he could learn, grow, and be supportedwith care and understanding. With guidance and encouragement from teachers and mentors, Reponse was able to return to school, embracing learning with a renewed sense of purpose and confidence. In addition to his academic progress, Reponse found a new passion in the Music and Performance Department. Music became his voice, a way to express emotions that words alone could not carry, and a source of joy that helped him heal from the challenges of his early life. Through performance, he began to see that his past struggles did not define him; rather, they strengthened his resilience and determination to succeed. Today, Reponse is thriving both in school and in music. He is a shining example of what is possible when a child is given love, support, and opportunities to explore their talents. The shy, struggling boy who once faced an uncertain future is now a young learner full of hope, creativity, and ambition, ready to shape a life filled with promise. Reponse’s journey is a powerful testament to the transformative power of care, education, and the arts. From the depths of hardship, he has emerged stronger, more confident, and inspired todream of a future where he can thrive and inspire others with his talents and resilience.
