Kwizera Valens is 22 years old. In 2024 he joined the Sangira Hotel Talent Pool, where he specialised in food and beverage service. For many young people in Rwanda, a training programme like this would be out of reach. The fees alone can be enough to close the door before it opens.

At Sangira, that door stayed open. Kwizera received all of his training and learning materials free of charge. He could focus fully on developing his skills instead of worrying about how to pay for them.

Today, Kwizera works as a food and beverage service professional. He is proud of what he has learned and grateful for the knowledge, experience and support he received along the way. In his own words, the programme has had a positive impact on both his life and his career.

His story shows what one year of practical, accessible training can do. It gave a young man a trade, a job and a future he can build on.
