IRADUKUNDA Cedric

Cedric’s life was marked by loss from an early age. His mother, Uwamahoro Angelique, passed away when he was just a child, leaving him and his family adrift in a world that suddenly felt cold and unkind. Soon after, he lost his father as well, and orphanhood plunged Cedric into a life without protection, guidance, or the warmth of a family.Without the comfort of parental love, Cedric faced the harsh realities of street life. Childhood joys were replaced by daily struggles for survival, and deep psychological pain became his constant companion. Loneliness, fear, and uncertainty shaped his early years, making him question if life could ever hold hope again. Then came Art for Change Rwanda, a sanctuary where Cedric finally found safety and belonging. Here, he discovered more than just education—he found care, understanding, and the tools to heal. Through sewing and fashion design, he learned to channel his pain into creativity, turning threads and fabrics into expressions of resilience and dreams. Today, Cedric walks with a quiet strength and renewed hope. He knows he is no longer alone, and that even in the shadow of unimaginable loss, life can still be filled with purpose, skill, and beauty. The boy who once survived the streets is now shaping his own future, one stitch at a time.
